Specialized Inspections
Depending on the condition, type, or location of your home, specialized inspections will help provide you with an analysis of your home’s condition. At times, additional ancillary inspections may be needed to determine the presence of possible issues that fall outside the scope of a typical home inspection.
Other Inspection Services
WOOD DESTROYING ORGANISM/INSECT (“PEST”) INSPECTION
Insects and other organisms can wreak havoc on a home’s structure with no obvious visible signs. WIN’s wood destroying organism/insect inspection can be performed at the same time as one of our other inspections, or on its own. You’ll know if termites, ants, dry rot, or another type of destructive organism has worked its way into your house, and your home inspector will provide you with advice on how to handle the problem. For more information, please contact your local WIN inspector to see if this service is available in your area.
COMMERCIAL INSPECTION
Commercial property inspections are a growing portion of the inspection industry. Evaluation of a commercial property has many of the same attributes as a residential home inspection. Our qualified inspectors will evaluate the property under the guidance of the ASTM Standards of Practice for Commercial Buildings. For more information, please contact your local WIN inspector to see if this service is available in your area.
ALARM SYSTEM INSPECTION
Due to a variety of security systems which have different operating procedures and equipment, home inspectors do not inspect a home’s security system when conducting a home inspection. Through a partnership with ADT Home Security®, WIN offers home buyers the opportunity to have their prospective home’s security system evaluated by a ADT Home Security® inspector, free of charge, at the time of the WIN home inspection. ADT® inspects the home’s alarm system, including all components and locations within the property, and provides an alarm inspection report to the home buyer for reference. For more information, please contact your local WIN inspector to see if this service is available in your area.
